Saxophonist Wayne Gutshall is a composer/producer from Miami, Florida who plays contemporary jazz. After playing on the Grammy winning CD âMamblueâ which won a Latin Grammy for Best Instrumental Album, Wayne released his debut album âSpicyâ which produced five #1 singles on SmoothJazz.comâs World Listener Chart, appeared twice on Billboardâs Most Added Chart, and placed him on many of the top 100 contemporary jazz charts. Since then Wayne has released several very successful singles featuring #1 Billboard guitarist Steve Oliver, Spotify sensation and bassist Brendan Rothwell, and Sirius XM artist/trumpeter Rob Zinn. With over 1 million streams on radio and quickly approaching 1 million streams on Spotify Wayne is currently working on his next release. Wayne has appeared in jazz festivals in California and Florida. For years Wayne has played on the Miami music scene and abroad performing with many of the worldâs most popular Latin pop stars, Jazz stars, and American pop stars. Wayne has performed and recorded with such artists as: Paul Brown, Steve Oliver, Nathan East, Arturo Sandoval, Nestor Torres, Dave Valentin, Phil Woods, Ed Calle, Peet Project, Brendan Rothwell, the Motown Group: The Four Tops, Rita Moreno, Franco DeVita, The SĂĄbado Gigante T.V. Show Orchestra, Bobby Rydell, Maria Conchita Alonso, Willy Chirino, Roberto Carlos, Yolandita Mongue, Albita Rodriguez, Lissette Ălvarez, Roberto Torres, Olga Guillot, Roberto Ledesma, Olga Tanon, Fredrico Brito, Raymond Daniel, Roberto Perera, Sammy Figueroa, Dadou Pasquet, Magnum Band, Edwin Bonilla, Nathan Watts, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone, Michael Thompson, Jonathan Kreisberg, Mike Orta, Nicky Orta, Wendy Pedersen, Orlando Hernandez, Julio Hernandez, Roger Ingram, Jorge Garcia, Julio BaguĂ©, Dorian Reyes, Rob Zinn, Maggie Carles, Jackson Bunn, Ray Lyon, Jim Gasior, Clay Ostwald, and the New World Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his performing accomplishments, Wayne was an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College for seven years. He was the instructor of saxophone and taught courses in Music Appreciation and Jazz History. Wayne was also the instructor of Saxophone at New World School of the Arts and was a Music Teacher for MDCPS. Wayne holds a Bachelorâs Degree in Studio Music and Jazz and a Masterâs Degree in Jazz Education from the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
